Free-to-Play Access

No Cost Access
Istaria has an option for extended Free Access. This allows you to play a character up to level 20, and then you must switch schools to continue gaining experience. For bipeds, there's a lot of schools and you can play for an extended period of time. This program can also be used with an old account to login an socialize / assist other players with game play.

Free Access
The Free Access program was released as a way to allow players to try Istaria with no time limit or for people to log in and assist others or socialize during times when they cannot afford a subscription. However, it has come to our attention that some players are using our Free Access program and multiple accounts to gain an extra log-in.
As many paying accounts pay extra for multiple log-ins, we have made changes to the account validation server so that you can no longer log in a free account alongside any other accounts. This means that you cannot log in two or more free accounts, or a paid account plus free account(s), and so on.

We realize that some players use free accounts to transfer items between characters and discussing solutions to account-based item transfer to make up for this loss.

Renewing Each Month
If you're playing under the Free Access, you will need to renew your Free Access each month. There's no cost - you're simply indicating you want to continue to play for free. This helps the developers better understand what accounts are active vs. inactive.


Converting to Free Access
If you had a pay account but would like to convert your account to Free Access (but characters are level limited):
- Delete or Archive all but one character (delete instructions here)
- Ensure your remaining character is within the level limits

You will need to contact customer support https://support.istaria.com to request that your account be updated.
