How to Manually Enable or Disable the Tutorial

The tutorial system can be manually enabled or disabled by editing the prefs file for your character.

Please follow these steps:

1. Browse to your prefs folder, usually C:\program files\istaria\prefs
2. Find the folder for your character using the following format: [shard_name]_[character_name]
3. Open that folder
4. Find the file called ClientPrefs_Character.def
5. Right click on your ClientPrefs_Character.def and select "Open With"
6. Select Notepad, or if Notepad is not listed, select "Choose Program" - then find Notepad in the list
7. Enable or disable the tutorial by changing the pref:
   1. To enable the tutorial, make sure the following is set "bool tutorial = true"
   2. To disable the tutorial, make sure the following is set "bool tutorial = false"
8. Click File > Save

You may now log into Istaria and play with the desired tutorial settings.
