Launcher had trouble decrypting data

The launcher may display the message:

"Launcher had trouble decrypting data from login server or login server was in middle of synchronizing character data. Please retry after a few minutes to allow character synchronization to complete. If this error persists, please contact customer support at https://support.istaria.com for help."
 

This message is because Java is out of date, or the launcher is out of date.

Updating Java

   Visit www.java.com and click the red Download Java button.

Updating Launcher

   Place the latest launcher in your Istaria install folder (usually c:\program files\istaria\):
